Celebrating Excellence, Leadership, and Service Above Self
The Joliet Rotary Club is proud to recognize outstanding high school students through our Student of the Month Program. This award honors students who exemplify academic achievement, leadership, character, and a commitment to serving others.
Each month, local high schools nominate exceptional students who demonstrate Rotary's guiding principle of "Service Above Self." These young leaders inspire their peers through their dedication in the classroom, involvement in extracurricular activities, and contributions to their schools and communities.
Selection Criteria
Students are selected by school administrators and guidance counselors based on:
Academic excellence and strong classroom performance
Leadership in school, athletics, clubs, or other activities
Community involvement and volunteer service
Positive character, integrity, and citizenship
Commitment to helping others and embodying Rotary values
Recognition
Student of the Month recipients are honored by the Joliet Rotary Club and invited to attend a Rotary meeting as special guests. During the program, students have the opportunity to share their accomplishments, future goals, and experiences with Rotary members and guests.
Honorees receive recognition for their achievements and join a distinguished group of students who represent the future leaders of our community.
